Spring in Cape Town

I just love this time of the year. Over the weekend the weather was brilliant spring weather with plenty of blue skies and warm sunshine. It made me want to get out into the garden and get some new veggies planted, so Mike & I headed for the nursery and bought a few things. I enjoyed planting them out and certainly Saturday and Sunday there was plenty of sunshine to get them started. Today has been cloudy and threatening rain, which is also good.

I bought some kale which is a great Banting vegetable as it helps prevent cravings. Add it to salads!

But the best way to enjoy spring in Cape Town is to head up a mountain, which we did yesterday afternoon….a leisurely hike up Elsie’s Peak with Morgan….the view towards Simon’s Town. This view never gets ‘old’.

Truly Spring and all that comes with it is #23 of my 1000 thanks.

Song of Solomon 2:11-13

See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land. The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.

Absolutely!

I love the change of seasons.

Even though today is cool and cloudy – there is the hope and knowledge of sunny days ahead.

These the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
