Friday
Dear Elsie
Today is the first day of September and in my mind the first day of spring, even if it’s not. The day was partly cloudy but turned to a beautiful day in the afternoon, so after several hours of work, I set off for the shops to buy David biltong and nuts. I came home via daisy lane where there are a few daisies popping up…
But perhaps for this season it should be known as Lavender Lane.
A sea of purple.
Kalk Bay from the bench…and if you look really closely, you can spot my blue barrel – just the speck in the sea at the bottom
The big thing I am remembering about 1st September is 30 years ago today Radio CCFm burst into life as Radio Fish Hoek. What a memorable time that was & we were so privileged to be part of it. A good picture of Mike, Don Glass, John Thomas and Pat McQuillan who were all at the birth. This was in 2018 when CCFm turned 25.
30 years ago when Radio Fish Hoek was launched we couldn’t come close to imagining what the future held. Technology has exploded taking the airwaves across the world. God has been very faithful.
Yay for the weekend.
Psalm 145:20
The Lord watches over all who love Him…
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
