Solar Flare…

4-30pm

The media got hold of the ‘solar flare story’ in big chunks and before you knew it, people across Cape Town were feverishly passing on the news of the likelihood of increased radiation this afternoon at 4pm. But what I gleaned from News 24 is that it all actually happened yesterday!  According to Kobus Olckers, space weather officer at the Ises Regional Space Weather Warning Centre in Hermanus  if you were going to die [from a solar flare] you would have died yesterday [Monday] because the explosion on the sun happened yesterday morning.”  He went onto say “if anything could happen to a human, it would have happened yesterday. The ultraviolet peak has come and gone – it happened yesterday.”

So this is what it was supposed to have looked like…

Solar activity captured by the Nasa Solar Dynamics Observatory.

So apart from that little excitement, the day passed by uneventfully with lots of sunshine. It was a beautiful day…

One thing I did do today, apart from meet friends for coffee, shop and work, was I took Granny’s stitches out. I used Sally’s “perfect-for-the-job” fold up scissors and tweezers…

Don’t be distracted by false reports of the end times. Keep focused on what you have to do here…

Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead;  fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.”

In short: Watch what you think. Watch what you say. Watch where you go. Keep your eye on the goal!

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
