Saturday
We were up early this morning and not long after 7am, we started working at Echo. It was all about the electrics. We got home around 9:30am and stayed for about an hour and a half, having breakfast and watching the start of the cricket. Then we returned to the site for another few hours. Heidi came to see our progress which was great. There was mist coming in from the north…
By 2ish, Mike was finished and we locked up and went home. We had a restful afternoon. Both Mike and I are so very tired and looking forward to doing nothing tomorrow. This evening, we met Peter and Riana at the site as well so they could see the progress. It was great to hear both Heidi earlier today, and Riana this evening approved of the tiles in the lower ground floor. That made me feel better about them for when they get to my floor.
Before we came home, I took this photo of the original 1948 cottage. It will be interesting to see if the house appears behind it. For the moment, it cannot be seen from that angle…No signs of a build going on behind at all.
