Sunday
Today was the day…
We swam and we walked. I was the only person in the sea, which does suggest it wasn’t much of a swimming day. After we got home, we had a nice long video chat with the Swellendam family. Elsie watched as I did a whole lot of chores, like filling up the bird bottle, watering the plants and putting the vacuum robot on. After they rang off, Mike and I walked to Fish Hoek for groceries. There is a way for me to slow down when walking home with Mike. I carry the loaded backpack!
We came home the mountain route, where we leave Fish Hoek and head for Kommetjie Rd, up to Hillside, then up the Hillside hill to the path that leads to Highway. It is longer, but the hills are intermittent and we end up walking down Highway to Echo (which is the downhill in the photo above).
This is from the path between Hillside to Highway…
The view is pretty spectacular…
We had roast chicken and vegetables with David joining us for lunch. I worked a bit this afternoon, which makes tomorrow easier.
Our guests have asked to stay an extra two nights, so they will be here until Wednesday.
There is inclement weather coming our way again with an advisory from the weather office…
So I guess we won’t be going to the beach tomorrow!
Tonight the President is expected to take Covid restrictions to Level 4, including banning alcohol sales altogether, restricting gatherings even more and prohibiting travel out of Gauteng for leisure purposes. At least if that happens, Julian will still be able to travel as he comes for business. The Pres speaks in about an hour, so we’ll see if the media has it right.
John 16:13
When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
