How do I unpack the overwhelming emotions that come with this day? What an amazing day it has been. BABY DAY! Mike and I are grandparents!
I woke up at 4-30am to find a whatsapp from Stacey (that she had sent a few hours earlier), saying her water had broken and they were on the way from Swellendam to the hospital an hour and half away. I immediately sent a message and Adrian replied to say they were at the hospital. After many hours, she was delivered via C-Section at about 1pm.
Mike and I drove through pouring rain and arrived in time to see Stacey being taken back to the ward. She went to bed pregnant and just 24 hours later this is her gift. The miracle of birth. So spectacular.
Monday’s child is fair of face…she’s so alert and her eyes are so blue.
We couldn’t be prouder or more grateful. 3 hours old…
Mother and baby are both doing so well.
Our hearts are full. We rejoice in God’s goodness to us.
#667 of my 1000 thanks is for the birth of my first grandchild. This is a day that we will not forget.
The Bible verse for 21st May 2018, Elsie’s birthday.
Psalm 119:50
This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
