Shattered Glass Door

Wednesday

Today was the day…

The glass front door of Echo got shattered. It’s glass on top with a solid bottom. The north wind was howling and that door is in the teeth of the north-wester. Somebody closed the door but  it didn’t click, so wasn’t closed properly. The wind whipped it open and slammed it against the rocky bank outside. The outcome…

What’s painful is that the door people came yesterday to fix this very door. These things happen!

Meanwhile, Werner is putting tiles on the wall in the top floor bathroom. This is my special design bathroom where the floor and the wall tiles have been chosen by me, along with that window in front of the bath!  It’s looking great!

Tiling has also begun on the floor of our en-suite bathroom. I’m happy with these tiles as well. The cupboards have also been put installed in the bathroom.

Instead of a walk-in closet, Mike and I have a ‘walk through’ closet. It’s actually a passage that can be shut off to be made completely private. The cupboards installed in it…

The finishes always take a long time. Between winter rain and occasional power cuts, progress has been a little slower than usual, but it will get done.

Today I worked for lots of hours. First day back after the few days off and I had a lot to catch up on. Grateful to be up to date and I also managed a trip to the gym. Mike and I did the airport run to pick up Julian. Great to have him here again.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

The best is yet to come.

Keep the smile going.
