Security Alert

Today our alarm went off. Mike had decided trying 9 holes of golf would be a good idea so we headed for the golf course, noticing that the cars coming towards us had their windscreen wipers going. Didn’t bode well for a comfortable round. Suddenly Mike’s cell phone started ringing. I answered it and it was YMA saying our alarm had gone off.  They told me it was the main bedroom. I said it had to be the cat. She had never set the alarm off before. We did a u-turned and headed back. I couldn’t understand how Truffles could have set it off until we found where she was… she was perched on top of our cupboard. To get there she would have had to walk right past the alarm sensor.  Busted!

It’s not bad to be vigilant when it comes to security. I logged onto Facebook to find this security alert…

This morning we were returning from church, when I looked up a side street and saw a suspicious looking guy dawdling up the road looking at the houses. We drove around the block to double-check on him, but he was gone. We then saw he had retraced his steps and was hanging around an intersection. I put out an alert of the neighbourhood watch Whatsapp group. When he saw us watching him, he hot-footed it up the road, then changed his mind, turned around, came back and nonchalantly stared at us. Very questionable behaviour. The patrollers were alerted. We went home.

After coming home, we decided to take a walk behind our house and check to see if there had been any activity there. It’s pretty overgrown there now which allows us to easily see if anyone has been there. I couldn’t see any footprints. We walked along the new road which is coming along well.

Kerbstones have been delivered…

#753 of my 1000 thanks is that it was a false alarm!

I actually did a bit of work today.  It sends me into the week with less pressure.

Proverbs 3:3

Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.

Steadfast love and faithfulness.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
