Productive Monday

I haven’t given much thought to today being 13th August. One year ago today was pretty much the worst day of 2017 – the day Morgan arrived home to find the cottage had been broken into and ransacked. So much of her stuff was stolen.  It was devastating. There was nothing else for her to do than to pack up what was left and move out. So very sad that it was because of crime that she left.  I stood in the cottage amidst the post-theft mayhem  and I prayed. It felt like my prayers were hitting the ceiling. I felt the evil that had come and I prayed against it. I prayed for peace again to pervade this special little building that had been home to so many special people.

#754 of my 1000 thanks – praise the Lord that a year has passed and the cottage has not been touched since.

It was vacant from August to January, which was when Stuart arrived. Corey and Morgan are now living in Australia.

Today has been a very productive Monday, although we woke late. It was 7-30am when I woke with a start – seeing the break of day. There was no time for coffee. With a banana quickly eaten, I got dressed and by 8am I was on the treadmill. It was a groggy hour of sluggish gym. It just doesn’t go down well without caffeine! I won’t make that mistake again.

#755 of my 1000 thanks. One of my gym gloves (wrist guards) was missing and today I found it.

The cappuccino on my return was beyond delicious. I had a shower and with it being so cold, I pretty much made my bed my office for the day. I did my Bible reading and then worked.

Mike had a Skype call and in the afternoon, he decided to get some exercise and got stuck into weed-eating.

Looks so much better after a cut.

This evening, I drizzled my way through an episode of Long Lost Family and now I am about to return to do a little more work.

Psalm 145:17

The Lord is righteous in all His ways and faithful in all He does.

Amen!

These are the days.

Keep he smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

  • 30 minute -FastWalk
  • 30 minutes – Grid – it felt sluggish – heart rate was 156 at the end though.
  • 5 minute cool down bike ride.
