Scullery Sink

Monday

Today was the day…

Mike started the countertop for the scullery sink. He made a template…

Then he and Courage set about cutting out the hole for the sink…

And it fits…

Varnish time. It needs 3 coats of varnish, at least. This evening it got its first.

I’m looking forward to getting the sink in action.

This morning, I went across to what is now our old house and worked for a few hours from there. I also did a good bit of sorting and cleaning. It’s such a relief to start getting it in some semblance of order. While there, flowers, beautiful ones, arrived from my sister Anne congratulating us on our new home. What a lovely gesture…

Back at the new house, I did some more work from my office nook. I am using a small table for now, but Mike will make me a desk when time allows. The view will stay the same.

I don’t know if this will ever get old!

This evening we went to Dixies for dinner. They have a Monday steak special for R99 which is pretty good. Steaks are very tender!

Julian returns to Johannesburg tomorrow.

Psalm 98:4

Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy!

The best is yet to come.

Keep the smile going.
