Today we hit an all time record for smsses received on the Rise and Shine show. Usually I get in about 100 regular show sms responses. The most I’ve ever got for a competition is about 470 for a Joyce Meyer book about a month ago. So today, as we ran two competitions the smsses came flooding in. I got the usual 100 show responses, 156 smsses for the Joyce Meyer book and a whopping 510 smsses for the Junior Rugby World Cup prize of R1000 and double tickets to the game. What was really crazy was that right after I mentioned the questions for the Rugby competition, in TWO minutes, from 7-22 to 7-24am, 163 smsses came in! Amazing! If you entered, the winners will be drawn after 8-40am tomorrow morning!Β This is what I scribbled in my diary/show book…
After all that activity, I followed my usual routine of doing music prep & then at 11am had an appointment with a listener! It was lovely to see Christine and we had a lovely cup of tea and a natter. She lives in a special part of Fish Hoek which reminds me of England…
Maybe England doesn’t enjoy quite so much sunshine in winter! π Talking of sunshine, three years ago today, it wasΒ a splendid sunny day. 20th June 2009 became one of my favourite days…
Thank you Adrian and Stacey for making US so happy! It was a wonderful occasion and one we reflect on with great joy! Three years have passed and you are both still so in love and delightful together. Dad & I love you very much and are so very proud of you. You have both achieved so much! Later this year, as you enter the next exciting phase in your lives, know that we are praying for you daily and will be following your travels with interest. We are here for you, if you need us!
We are in His grip,
