2 Minutes Of DEAD AIR!

1-36pm

I am still smarting over losing TWO minutes of on-air time this morning! It could have been more, but let me console myself and convince myself it was only 2! I left the studio with a track of music playing, with one to automatically follow – there was probably about 5 minutes of music lined up. The only problem was the computer stopped after the first track. By the time I got back to the studio, I had 4 smsses waiting for me saying, ‘you have a problem’, or ‘what’s going on?’ or ‘we can’t hear you!’ I only leave the studio if I HAVE to. I now know why the computer system stopped after the first song. I’d left something open so it couldn’t see that it had to continue. I was so annoyed with myself! Lesson learned! So what could you have done in those two minutes…apart from tune out, you could have heated up one of these…

Go to the bathroom – which I have timed before when I’ve been running out during studio music breaks…that WASN’T the reason for the studio exit this morning!

You can also taunt a cat, entertain him and bore him, all in two minutes…

In two minutes, you can boil half a kettle of water and make tea…

Best of all, in two minutes, you can enjoy four pieces of chocolate…

Make every moment count!

Ephesians 5:15-16 says “Be very careful, then, how you live —not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”

Jonathan came into the studio after Focus on the Family to do the draw with me for the winner of the Junior Rugby World Cup competition we ran yesterday. He came wearing a Makarapa…

The winner of the R1000 & the double tickets to the JWC finals tomorrow is Pierre Calvert. Great fun!

For the rest of the day, I spent some time with David who is leaving on a mission’s trip to Mozambique this evening. I had photos taken for my passport and my drivers license, did some shopping and some banking.

Fish for dinner.

The weekend beckons!

God bless you loads!

In His Grip!

Helga xx 🙂
