Rich Days

Woke up this morning and as we went through our regular routine, I thought to myself these are rich days. Mike and I chatted about what we were reading in the Bible and I told him some of the stories of faith I had recently heard. These moments make our lives rich.

#578 of my thousand thanks – Quiet times and meaningful conversations about God and His faithfulness with my husband.

I had five things I needed to achieve today.

  1. Do my Bible reading.
  2. Go shop and take back some new running shoes that don’t actually fit.
  3. Get to gym.
  4. Do my blog.
  5.  Do some work (remember the 131 emails!)

The running shoes got changed. I have had to come to terms that my favourite training shoes of all time, my Size 7 Reebok AR3071 are at the end of their lives. They have lasted a year. I Googled them and they are pretty much unavailable except in the Middle East and India! I have put them in my cupboard and will enjoy them from time to time!

This is my new running shoe…it’s the Comrades edition, but I think this pair can be very confident they won’t find themselves on the road between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. They were on special, so a really good buy.

So I’m up to # 4 on my list. The only issue with getting to #5 is that we are going to friends for supper so tonight may end up being a late night.

Gym was great. Today was cycle and swim. I cycled 20km in 43:54. This was my view from the bike….the gym was very quiet…

The pool was very quiet too which is always great. I am getting the hang of swimming.  My strokes per 25m length I have managed to get down to 29 (from 37!) and my best speed so far was 30 seconds(from about 40 seconds). Good progress. I swam 50 lengths. There was a lady swimming who breathed every 5th stroke. I tried it right at the end of my swim and am definitely going to implement it for my next swim and see how I do. I love swimming. Who knew!

Okay, gotta go!

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant and testimonies.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
