R46 Lunch – We Went Dutch!

3-17pm

It’s been a productive day. At 11am this morning, I beetled off to Elsies River to visit these folk…

This was inside their boardroom…

I met with two groups of Jordan Shoes people. We’ll see what happens. Maybe one day you will hear them advertising on CCFm! 🙂

On my way to the City Centre, I stopped at traffic lights…

You have GOT to love Cape Town! 🙂

I met Mike for a R46 lunch – we went Dutch! He got the sandwiches at one little outlet. The coffee I paid for from another little outlet…it was cappuccino in styrofoam cups, but it was pretty good!

That kept me awake on the trip home, where I delivered the latest Joy Magazine to Granny…she immediately started looking at the cover story…

Granny’s been around 88 years. Life was so different for her when she was young. Do you know, she NEVER wears long pants…nope. Even on the coldest days, only skirts and dresses for Granny!  I’m really grateful God has moved with the times…

Isaiah 33:6 says, “He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.”

What a treat to find this verse this morning – snuck away in Isaiah 33. God is timeless. He is able to meet all needs, of all people, at all times. Nothing escapes His sight. Nothing is outside of His grasp. Nothing is outside of His ability. He is God. He is not only God of the Old Testament. He is not only God of the New Testament. He is God of NOW. Today. Wednesday 19th September 2012. He is the Sure Foundation. The only stability we can have for this day is found through God alone. How? By trusting Him alone. By continually understanding that this life is not about me or you, but about Him. To be wise is to deeply respect and revere our Father God. To give Him His rightful place in our hearts and in our lives. To acknowledge Him,  put Him first and to worship Him. Imagine a storeroom, locked. Inside is a rich bottomless stash of salvation and wisdom and knowledge. The only way in is to fear the Lord. You have no idea of what eternal treasure lies behind the door until you use the key to unlock it. “The fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.”By putting Jesus as the King of your life and heart, the door is unlocked & you have access to a world of stability and salvation and wisdom and knowledge. We can all do with that!

Embrace this moment in time.

In His warm Grip,

Helga x 🙂
