3-44pm
This week, my coffee plunger glass cracked. I had it in mind to buy another one. I used it with the crack yesterday and again this morning. But when Jonathan asked how it happened, I went to demonstrate and voila, the whole glass broke!
Fortunately Jonathan got his coffee before the crack spread…here he is bringing us traffic news…
I needed a reminder that if I don’t get another coffee plunger, I was going to be without filter coffee tomorrow…so this was my ‘note to self’.
It didn’t need to stay on for long. Right after the show, I went to the post office and popped into Checkers where, believe it or not, they had coffee plungers on sale for R30…
I bought two. Tomorrow, I’ll go and get another, if they haven’t sold out, so filter coffee at work is ON…
I did a full morning’s work, mainly sorting out music until the end of the month. You see, Mike & I are taking a few days leave and making a L-O-N-G weekend of it….so my last working day is next Friday 26th April and then I get back on Thursday 2nd May! I’m taking two days off and the public holiday. I also reduced the email in my inbox from an incredible 900+ to a mere 25 emails. That’s a great relief. There seemed to be a bit of a gremlin in my inbox…hiding stuff I had never read, so I got to reply to some folk who wrote months ago! Oops!
I left CCFm around 12 noon, had nuts for lunch and then went for a fabulous workout with my semi-personal trainer…my friend Riana and I go together to our friend Mel and we share the cost. It’s like going out with friends for an hour, only you come back feeling fabulous and a little more toned, having burned 500 calories.
Leftover soup for dinner. Let me get this blog posted. I’m going to copy here what I put on the CCFm Rise and Shine Facebook page this morning. It’s the Bible verse I’ve been memorizing this week. Maybe you can too:
“I have on the dashboard of my car, a memory card with Psalm 63:8. It says “My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.” Just 10 words. But since I’ve been memorizing, pondering and meditating on them, I realise their impact. Sometimes, we struggle with issues – in the end we have no words for them. Perhaps the pain is too great, the mountain too high, the problem too complex, the answer too far. Cling soul to the Lord. Cling means:”to hold fast or adhere to something; To remain emotionally attached”. There is nothing more to be done but to cling, soul, cling. But not just to anyone – Cling, soul to the Lord. The outcome: The Lord will uphold you with His RIGHT hand – His dominant, strong hand. Uphold means: “1. To hold aloft; 2. To prevent from falling or sinking; support. 3. To maintain or affirm against opposition.” Just 10 words, but a lifetime of strong support from the Creator of the universe. Cling, soul, Cling.
Upheld, in His Grip.
God bless you!
Love Helga ♥
