3-09pm
It is quieter and soon to be emptier and my house! David house sat this weekend and is due to move out over the next week. In fact, truth be told, he could start staying at his new (albeit quite empty) place tomorrow, because that’s when the bed arrives! I know I will miss him when he leaves. He is a whirlwind of energy and takes up a lot of space. It is going to be fun seeing him keep himself housed and fed! ๐ This weekend has seen the good side of the plan as well as the not so good side. He is a very good presence to have around over the weekend when Mike & I want to go out for a while. Also he often gets in late at night and finds Granny wandering around, so he will shepherd her back to bed.
Leavingย Granny home alone, last night Mike & I nipped out for the Carols by Candlelight at CCFm…1000s of people were there…
MCs, JP Carelse (CCFm Lunchbreak) & Odile Esau (The Drive)…
Little Joey’s Dad bought her to meet me….
I loved the innovative car guard sign…
Today at church, the Sunday School hosted a spectacular Nativity Play. It warmed the heart…
The rest of today has unfolded very quietly. I even had an afternoon sleep. I’ve done show prep and now I’m going to do more, in order to get ahead and ready for pre-recording.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven…
Yep! Our season of raising our children is over! The season of caring for Granny continues. I think it needs to be seen as a ministry. The ministry of raising our children is over, but the ministry of caring for Granny continues.
God bless you enormously!
In His Grip,
