Putting My House In Order…

11-20am

So life begins in a new and different way for me from today. I woke up at 2am this morning and went through some of the messages I hadn’t yet read. I still have all the smsses to read. It was all quite overwhelming yesterday. I certainly felt I went out on a high. My day was made when Stacey phoned in the evening to celebrate the moment with me as well! I will miss, miss, miss Rise and Shine, but I know it is time and I’m now ready for the next phase. I went back to sleep at 2-30am and slept through to 7-30am. Special treat!

Getting my house in order has to be done in steps. We have lived in this house for 25 years and it has a LOT of stuff that needs to be cleared out. So that what’s I’ll be tackling bit by bit.Ā  I am nervous of my time keeping skills and whether I will be able to be disciplined enough. It all begins with a to-do list…

To do listMy brother would be proud…he makes daily to-do lists! I will try and follow suit.

So I have a pot of soup on the stove…

Butternut and sweet potato soupIt’sĀ  Butternut and Sweet Potato soup, made with orange sweet potato today.

The weather is cloudy and cool. Rain is forecast…

Rainy afternoonAnd Chapman’s Peak is under cloud…

Chappies under cloudBut the washing should get dry because the wind is fresh. I put it on the line under the eaves of the house just in case. And now on my to-do list, the blog is done and I can think about going shopping. I think I’ll leave that for a little later when the shops are not so busy. So, I’m off to the cottage to get the furniture back in place. We painted not so long ago and haven’t put it back together again! Now that I no longer have an income, I need to get it rented more frequently so that it’s profitable. God provides! Next tenant in for a month from 15th June.

It’s a new season and when a change of this magnitude comes around, now that I am more mature, I understand that I need to be patient with myself. I’m expecting a dip & so am prepared for it. My main concern is that I don’t want to waste time! So, we’ll see how I get along!

Great Bible verse in John 14:18. Words of Jesus…

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”

NEVER alone. šŸ™‚

God bless you!
