Pajama Day

Saturday

Dear Elsie

Today was a pajama day for me. I spent the entire day in my pajamas with the exception of showering, after which I got back into them. An ideal day then. The highlight was of course, speaking to you and your Mom and hearing all your news and seeing you playing in the new part of your house.  You will absolutely love it when it’s finished.

The other thing that got done today, between showers, was the planting of some seedlings. Some purple dianthus and yellow violas. I like to think we are planting them in memory of Monica and Granny, both of whom were avid gardeners. We do not have the same success they have had but we’ll enjoy these as long as they last.

Last night the electricity for the street finally came on at about 8.30pm, which meant the hot water cylinder started heating and the guests could enjoy a hot shower a little later than that. They left after lunch today and tonight we can all enjoy as many long hot showers as we like.

David’s Chess channel continues to grow. He’s got enough watch hours to monetize and now only needs to get to 1000 subscribers. This is the video that has been doing so well.

David has had a long history of enjoying playing chess & he began the Chess channel quite some time before his long Covid hit. He was also too busy to work on it. His unexpected available time has given him opportunity to do more with it and it may turn into another little side hustle. It’s far easier to feed than his music channel which is still doing okay. He’s got more than 13000 subscribers on that one and one of his videos has been viewed more than 750 000 times, but right now he does not have the energy to record new material for it. Chess is much easier.

I’ve just checked Flowx to see how much more rain we can expect. It looks like this significant cold front will be gone by tomorrow lunchtime & the week ahead appears dry, which is good news for the next guests who arrive on Tuesday.

Psalm 125:4
Lord, do good to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx
