Wednesday
Today was the day…
Our 4th guests arrived. As I gave them the keys and a quick tour of the place, I mentioned the fireplace doesn’t work and there’s no TV. They joined the others who have said, “That’s fine! We don’t need a TV!” It has just been interesting that none of our guests have commented that a TV would be nice. We haven’t said we’ll never get a TV. It’s just convenient not having to worry about the security of it if we do get one.
I woke up this morning with a headache so we didn’t go to the beach. The day was beautiful. When I woke up, I stood outside and admired the inky black sky dotted with twinkling stars and a moon reminiscent of the kind a cow would jump over.
With a new moon, the darkness of the sea blended with a clear sky – the diamond stars above were mirrored by the lights of fishing boats taking advantage of a calm sea. All pre-dawn, yet it was only 6:30am.
At 7:24pm, we began to see the effects of the rising sun…a bold statement pointing to a beautiful winter’s day ahead….
I worked a full 8 hours today, although I also managed to nip out to Fish Hoek to pick up a few things this afternoon. The beach was quite busy with lots of people enjoying the sunny weather. Tomorrow rain is forecast.
Mike and I relaxed this evening, ate popcorn and watched a movie.
Now, I’m going to drink tea, have a shower and watch an Agatha Christie Whodunnit!
It’s the 7th of 7th so a good day to have this Bible verse…
Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
