Other Cities Running Out of Water

Today, I fell back into my normal Tuesday routine. We had coffee and read the Bible. I managed to work after that for a little while. Then I put the rubbish out and went to gym. I walked for 25 minutes,  did 30 minutes of the Grid before cycling for 10 minutes. That was sufficient.

Home for breakfast.

Then I worked on and off until about 5-30pm. In between I cleaned the house. I’m also looking for a cot for Stacey. This should be fun. We get the cot, do it up if need be, and take it to Swellendam. That’s the plan. Taking it to Swellendam has some advantages. We can shower and bring back water! 🙂

Talking of water, I read an interesting article on National Geographic published online a few days ago at this link . Author Craig Welch’s article is on why  Cape Town is running out of water and who’s next. Here is some of the article…

We are not alone.

I don’t believe that Cape Town’s water woes are God’s judgement. I think they are as a result of cause and effect. You reap what you sow. Put too much demand on a water source – with too many people and too little rain and the water will run out. I believe God will work this out for His good. We need to keep praying, keep trusting Him. Perhaps this is a way that will bring more people to Him, but I do not believe the drought is God’s judgement on the city.

Psalm 119:105

Your Word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Mike has just bought me tea.

#560 of my 1000 thanks is for my favourite tea…

If I run out, regular rooibos will do. How my preferences have changed. I would never have imagined myself drinking rooibos ever, let alone having it without milk.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
