Oscar Trial Fatigue

12-51pm

I don’t know about you, but I’m getting “Oscar trial fatigue”. The ongoing drama unfolding on Channel 199 is a bit much now. …too much detail…too much cross-examination….too much drama. The live coverage spills over onto all the other  international news channels. It’s tiresome hearing every single detail of every single thing that happened and then to have it picked apart. The testimony is horribly graphic. It has to be done, I know, but  it does not mean that I have to watch it. I am feeling uncomfortable watching it and can only tolerate it in very small doses. It is far easier to read an online update. Talking of update, it seems that the scene was contaminated by the police and that is being taken apart by Oscar’s defence. Then, apparently while looking for a particular photo and seemingly scrolling through pictures in the database, suddenly a photo of Reeva after she was shot, splashed across the court screens. Oscar roared with dismay. Not an easy thing to have to endure for all concerned. I left that channel and started hopping through others.

I couldn’t believe my eyes, when I encountered one of my O-L-D favourite programmes…

Magnum PIMagnum PI featuring Tom Selleck and his merry band – Higgins particularly and TC. It was quite entertaining watching images from years gone by…hilarious fashions that were all the norm them! Tom Selleck has just turned 69.  Golly gosh! We have come a long way since they were making that series!

It’s easy to worry about what’s going to happen tomorrow get stressed out about future events. Helen Steiner Rice wrote this poem entitled “Never Borrow Sorrow From Tomorrow.” I read it on air this morning and someone called and asked me to put it here…

Deal only with the present,
Never step into tomorrow,
For God asks us just to trust Him
And to never borrow sorrow –

For the future is not ours to know
And it my never be,
So let us live and give our best
And give it lavishly –

For to meet tomorrow’s troubles
Before they are even ours
Is to anticipate the Savior
And to doubt His all-wise powers –

So let us be content to solve
Our problems one by one,
Asking nothing of tomorrow
Except “Thy Will Be Done.”

~ Helen Steiner Rice ~

Great advice. She got the idea from the Bible…

Matthew 6:34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gratitude/Happiness Pic…it’s the small things in marriage that make a difference…when I went upstairs last night to shower, Mike had turned down the bed for me and filled up my drinking water bottle…small things…
