Monday
After walking through Kalk Bay yesterday and photographing the house being built on the main road….
After admiring it and how far they had got and how many obstacles they had overcome, I was shocked to discover their plans have not yet been passed! They are building without permission! Our builder, Werner, works very closely with the local area building inspector. The owners just got on with the build. Brave people. It made me remember that often things are not as they seem. I hope they can continue and things work out well for them. Beautiful day in Fish Hoek. Mike and I took a drive to Echo to see how far they had got. I’m not posting photos of the progress because Julian arrives on Thursday for a couple of days and I want him to get a surprise. I’ll post the photos later in the week.
Today I did quite a bit of work. I also did all the washing.
Monday 7th October 2013 was Granny’s “transformation” day. Yip. 6 years ago today, Granny left her frail, broken earthly shell and was transformed into her heavenly body. All glorious and no more tears. It’s hard to believe it’s been 6 years. She was so very special.
Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. (That’s 1 Corinthians 15:42-44 in the NLT)
I remember Granny with warmth and affection.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Rejoice, pray, give thanks.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
Gym:
Mike has suggested I take a break from gym. I think I may wait for my new running shoes to arrive before I get back into it.
