No Water Again

Friday

Dear Elsie

This evening at just after 6pm, we found we had no water. The horrible news was that we also had new guests arrive from the UK who really want to shower. It’s been off for almost two hours. We spent some time walking round the neighbourhood looking for the problem. We enjoyed the beautiful evening, but didn’t find the problem.

On getting home, we heard there was a burst water main in Sun Valley, so we decided to drive across there and find what was being done about it. We found no burst water main and encountered no water department so now we just have to sit and wait it out, hoping it will suddenly spring back into life. The one thing about these guests is they spoke about the glowing reviews we have had for the Seaview Apartment. Oh dear. We hope water will come on soon. I think tomorrow, I may invest in a camp shower.

This afternoon I visited friends in Glencairn for tea and walked home. Beautiful views from Glencairn.

What’s interesting is the bushes on the mountainside are all being cut back and have been heaped up in clumps. All the little bumps on the mountainside are piles of brush. As I walked, I could hear the sound of chainsaws hard at work.

A beautiful calm evening, but the lack of water is making it less than satisfactory (I can’t say putting a dampener on things!)

Psalm 62:1
Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him.

Be still my soul.

The best is still to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx
