No More Stress for Now

It’s easy to know what to be thankful for today.

#358 of my 1000 thanks is that all 61 of the waiting applicants have received their tickets and head off to Abu Dhabi this coming week. There have been some tense moments and a lot of whatsapp messages of hand-holding, encouraging, reassuring and finally high-fiving and celebrating!

Double back flips I tell you.

So last night I completed the yacht/catamaran blogs and emailed them off to John in Dubai with a cautious cover note explaining that the one was particularly tricky because of my ignorance of the yachting industry. I didn’t want to tell him that I was ‘thumb-sucking’ but truth be told I was writing what I expected it to be like! When his email arrived back this morning, I thought, “let me just face the music immediately!” Imagine my surprise when his brief reply was “Looks good. I’ve forwarded them to the client!”  To get past him is a most important step!

Today we took a walk down to the Sun Valley pond to see if the lovely heavy overnight rain had made a difference…

Looking down the river, you can see more water there than there has been before but all the ground in the foreground has to fill up so it’s got some way to go…

Other highlights of the day included an hour long phone chat with Stacey and a visit from David this afternoon who came back from a weekend away in time to watch the Wimbledon final.

And so now it’s time to gear up for the week ahead, which will be busy but happily a little less stressed than last week, which could also account for the palpitations. Last night I skipped the beta blocker pill and slept very well. Reducing caffeine is the answer. Decaf was made for people like me! 🙂

I’m excited about tomorrow. 38. That’s all. You’ll have to wait and find out what that is all about. 38. What a blessing.

Proverbs 18:10

The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going!

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
