New Year’s Eve

Soooo, this blog is a bit on the late side. From time to time, it throws out a privacy error and I need to ask Adrian to fix it. It happened a bit too late last night and Adrian was not available, so I wrote the blog but didn’t get to publish it until today!

Happy New Year! We have loaded 2019!

As I reflect on the year gone by there are some of the most amazing things about it:

1. I became a grandmother! Monday 21st May 2018 will go down as a joyous day in our lives. We woke early to the news that Stacey was in labour. We quickly drove to Worcester in what was probably the wettest day of the year. It poured with rain. While in the Huguenot tunnel, we got news that Elsie had arrived. What a wonderful blessing she is. We have loved loved loved seeing her grow up. Right now she is 7 months and a week and is beautiful and curious. Adrian and Stacey are patient, caring and creative parents.

2. David started his YouTube channel CapoXProductions. He uploads performances of him playing fingerstyle covers of popular songs. In less than 5 months he’s got to 962 subscribers and the channel is growing every day.  He can start monetizing his channel once he has 1000 subscribers (plus a certain number of views). For a professional musician, another stream of income is always welcome.  The thing that strikes me most is his ability. I don’t watch other guitarists but others do and the comments posted on most of his videos from all over the world are so very complimentary. Makes a Mom proud. David’s You tube channel.

3. The plans for a new house are currently at the Council. God willing building should commence in the next couple of months. We wait and see how this turns out, but we know unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it, labour in vain.

4. I didn’t go to the doctor at all throughout 2018.  Such a blessing to have good health.

5.  I started the unexpected long journey to get my teeth issues sorted. Braces now or dentures later, I chose the braces. It will get worse before it gets better, but it will get done.

We look forward to 2019 with expectation. With the build as a large, time-consuming, expensive project, I have a feeling this year is going to fly by.  We are excited! Our plan is to keep our sense of humour. My prayer is that no one will get hurt during the building of our house.

We end 2018 with a heart of gratitude and we commit 2019 into the Lord’s hands.

Galatians 1:3

Grace to you and peace from God the Father our Lord Jesus Christ.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless  you.
