“My Thoughts Are Not Your Thoughts”

4-27pm

A very normal day after yesterday’sย  amazing lunchtime meeting. Today I woke earlier than usual so a short afternoon nap was in order. The fun event of the day was ‘my little friend’ snoring quietly in the corner of the studio….

IT’s the UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) with a dicky fan. The sound was reminiscent of someone snoring very regularly. On- air (over the radio), it could be mistaken from time to time as a cell phone vibrating! I should have recorded it and put a sound file on my blog so you could hear it. I soon got used to it and just had a lot of laughs when others came into the studio and heard it for the first time! ๐Ÿ™‚

IT was a sunny day….the many ‘white horses’ in the photo below bear witness to the fresh south-easter…

Back on the home front, Granny is a bit confused this afternoon… talking of weddings and Monica (her daughter – my sister-in-law). She’s chatting away and saying short sentences that don’t make any sense at all. I guess when you are almost 88, things like this start happening.

Dinner is done – chicken ala king. Mike is having his hair cut and should be home in the next 5 or 10 minutes.

It’s a sad day for our valley. Two of the area’s youngsters died today. A 12 year old Grade 7 girl died suddenly of illness and an 18 year old teenager died in a car accident. I’ve also noticed several other messages on Facebook of friends saying people they know have died. Life is short.

Psalm 90 : 4 -6 Moses pondering the swiftness of life prays: โ€œFor a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night. You sweep men away in the sleep of death; they are like the new grass in the morning โ€“ though in the morning it springs up new, by evening it is dry and withered.โ€

My Reach for a Reference Bible verse this morning was from Isaiah 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.

Many things this side of eternity we don’t understand. Although we don’t understand, we remain steadfast and keep the faith.

In His Grip,
