My Jack of All Trades

Wednesday

Today was the day…

I worked for more than 7 hours.

I had a Middle East Team meeting.

I shopped!

Mike went out to the electrical shop and bought a bunch of things. It was also decided that he will oversee the manufacture of the kitchens. Mike likes this. He can control everything related to the kitchens and this is just up his street. One of my funniest memories was when Mike redid the kitchen in our current house way back in 1989. It was the first room we renovated. When we bought the house, the kitchen was pretty much gutted, so we got a discount and Mike set about renovating the kitchen. When he put this massive row of cupboards up, I looked up at them, looked gingerly at him and then asked, “Are you sure they won’t fall down?” Pfffft!  Mike said, “What!? Of course they won’t! How can you ask such a question?” Coming from a home where my Dad couldn’t change a plug, you got people in to do these things – you never did them yourselves. I quickly learned that Mike could fix just about anything.  How many photos of Mike doing stuff do I have? Quite a few.

Jack of all trades and a master of many…that’s my Mike.❤ Useful chap to have around!

Courage is doing well at the flat. Now that Mike is doing the kitchens, we will have more work for Courage and that makes me happy.

We finally got the DSTV up and running in the cottage.

And while it has been a day on which not much happened, it’s been a good day.

Corona virus stats have not been updated yet. We are at 11350 cases with 206 deaths.

Matthew 21:22

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Braces:

1 year and 6 months (182 days). I think I may have 8 months left. That’s the longest the Orthodontist suggested. We will see. I can predict nothing in these unexpected days.
