Saturday
With Mike beginning to design the kitchen we needed to know the exact sizes of the hob (which we bought a few weeks ago) and the prep bowl both which will go on the kitchen island. I had wanted a black prep bowl which would match the hob which only comes in black. The rest of the appliances are stainless steel. But black prep bowls are soooooo expensive. Finally, today I found one that was “only” R1300 less than it’s stainless steel counterpart. I was so excited to make this purchase!
Mike can now finish his design because we know the size. 😀 We also bought the tiles for the back splash for the ground floor unit. We’re hoping this…
will work here…
I think it will.
After Mike and I came home from our shopping trip, we had a quiet afternoon. I started trimming some of the overgrown ivy in the front garden. I am out of condition though and will have to build up some strength to get the job entirely done.
I checked my email and cleared my work inbox. Then we went for a walk down to the Sun Valley Pond which is nicely full and a paradise for birds…
This evening we watched some telly and now I’m wrapping up the day. It’s been a good day and one that Mike got some well needed rest after pretty much working a 40 hour week.
