Most Amazing Story

Today I watched the most amazing story. It’s the story of what seems like a remarkable coincidence; a story of how a red gingham dress united a couple in a frenetic adoption centre in China and led to an inter-continental friendship that was closer than either of them could have ever imagined. How does this happen? God had a greater plan for these two. It’s a stirring story – one you can watch here…

Watching this documentary  was one of the things I did today. It’s been a very warm but restful day.

I have also done some reading and had an afternoon nap which was wonderful.  Mike & I also went across to Echo and scrambled up our (now) quite overgrown back garden…

It’s difficult right now for us to imagine a house on this plot, but we believe it is going to happen.

This is the view out left towards Fish Hoek. It’s from the back of the plot.

Tomorrow we meet the builder. He has been busy in meetings with the engineer and the guy who will do the foundations. Werner will bring the quote and we will see what all of this is going to entail. When I sent a message to Werner the other day asking how his meetings had gone, he simply said, “good.” That’s good enough for me. Unless the Lord builds the house, they that build it, labour in vain.

For today, Sunday 24th February 2019,  the Bible verse in my diary hits the nail on the head:

Psalm 20:4

May He grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.

Amen! We trust the Lord.

This has been a restful weekend and I am refreshed!

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
