Mike’s Final Day of Work…

Yay! The day dawned and Mike left at his usual time. There he goes…

There he goes

He was planning on taking the afternoon off, seeing as he has worked about 9 hours of overtime. However, it was planned that he may have to go into the office tomorrow to hand in final paperwork. He didn’t really want to, so he worked hard today to wrap up everything. In the end he left work at 2-30pm and arrived home about an hour later. Here he comes…I was there to enthusiastically witness his arrival….

Here he comes

He’s home! 🙂 🙂

Riana had such a good idea and I was so grateful for the suggestion.

It was so brilliant and perfect and meaningful. Mike came home and I had this ready…

Communion

We had a time of prayer and communion. That was the first thing we did on the day he retired. We thanked Jesus for His life and for the blood He shed on our behalf. We had communion. We thanked God for His mercies over the years, His faithfulness, His guidance and His blessing. We committed the future to Him – all the days of our lives.

So meaningful.

Lamentations 3:22-24

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.”

I feel content. I have my husband home! 🙂 No more tension – just the pension! 🙂

Yay!

Tonight we are not eating out, but rather I have dinner planned at home. Tomorrow is David’s 25th birthday, so we are celebrating with him.

Keep the smile going.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
