Mike and I Made a Deal

Today has been a profitable day.

I’ve done almost 9 hours of work – I have fitted that in because I only stopped a short while ago. I cleared an inbox that had a whopping 360 emails in it. I left it at 0. Tomorrow morning, more will have arrived, but I will keep on top of them until the person who usually clears that inbox comes back to work.

Mike had a 2+ hour Skype call, which meant that I was on coffee and tea duty for him during the course of the morning. While he was busy, Take-a-lot arrived with his new cell phone, so he was very happy about that.

#661 of my 1000 thanks is the other useful thing that happened today –  the cottage DSTV got sorted. It had been worrying me. Stuart (who is in the cottage out back) said last week that it wasn’t working. Today he was home in the  morning, so I called DSTV, went through the security questions and then took the phone to him so they could help him sort it out, which they did! Yay!

By early this afternoon, things had settled down and Mike and I made a deal. He needed to go to the Mall to get a new SIM card and pick up something from the Post Office.

He said he would sort out dinner. I said I would clean the kitchen.

So off he went and I had a break from my computer and got stuck in. By the time Mike got home, kitchen was done. That was very satisfying.

We heard back from the builder. He said he is meeting with the engineer at the site on Monday next week. I must just make sure the alarm is off!

This is the week! Stacey is full term. We are patiently waiting for nature to take its course and for God’s perfect timing in bringing this little one into the world.

I think I have got to wrap this up. I have some serious eye strain going on!

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
