Measuring Out Our Grand Design!

Today was another step towards building a house on the mountainside.  It was April 8th 2016 when I first started adding information about this mammoth project on my blog. In the last 2 years and almost 4 months we have taken some tiny steps that have made up a few large strides. Another one is unfolding as I type. Mike is busy writing to the builder and the engineer, sending them the concept plans and a couple of video clips we roughly filmed on my cell phone this afternoon.

Today, Mike and I clambered up and down the mountainside – we hacked away at some bushes, breaking a saw in the process. We found the original pegs…

…and measured between them.

More cumbersome was measuring horizontally…with Mike marking the spots with poles.

It all worked out as Mike had hoped.

This is one of the videos…

And this is the grand design!

I have few words! Unless the Lord builds the house, those that build it labour in vain! It is not going to be a small feat to get this baby up! Small steps. We don’t need to worry about that tonight!

Back down to earth – #739 of my 1000 thanks is for SOCKS! My feet were so cold this afternoon, when I put my socks on, I was so much more comfortable!

Psalm 9:9-10

The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your Name, trust in You, for You O Lord do not abandon those who search for You.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

  • Fast walk – 29 minutes
  • The Grid – Heart rate at the end was 157.
  • Cycle to cool down – 5 minutes.  My heart dropped 25 bpm to 132 in first two minutes.

It was a good workout.
