3-27pm
Yep! Mavis is back. We really really missed her this year. Last year, Granny was more able, so we didn’t miss her as much. Thank you Mavis for coming back!…
With the mercury rising to a sizzling 35 today, Lynwen and I both dressed for summer…pretty in pink…
Looking good, ‘headphone hair’ and all! Talking of pink, there are new blossoms in the garden…
And I’ve been drinking iced water with fresh mint…
Today I also took Granny to the Doctor. For a long time she has had a lesion on her left cheek. The Doc used liquid nitrogen to burn it off last time, but it didn’t go away. Today our timing was perfect. How’s this for quick work: I called the Doctor’s rooms at 10-30am. They said she could see the Doc at 12-30pm. He saw her on time (amazing) and then said, he could take this lesion out immediately. So she had a quick local and now has 5 neat stitches. Sally can take the stitches out in a week’s time! Perfect! An hour after the appointment she was sitting back in our living room drinking tea and eating toast!
Now I must go and cook. I’m thinking Shepherds Pie which we haven’t had for such a long time!
Talking of shepherds, Jesus described Himself as a Shepherd…
John 10: 14 “I am the good Shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd. 17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again.”
Jesus laid His life down for us, but rose again, (‘to take it up again’), so we may have the assurance of eternal life.
What a gift!
In His Grip!
Helga xx 🙂
