Sunday at the van Niekerks…

4-27pm

It’s been a wonderful day of rest, although I have punctuated it with an amazing amount of music prep! With this week being a short week for me (I’m off on Friday), I need to get music prep sorted for the Monday I get back from our short holiday. This morning I woke early, did my Bible reading and then did some music prep. I made Granny breakfast and coffee for Mike and we sat on the patio and enjoyed it. The wind had picked up overnight, so it was blowing gales. Although sitting on the patio, you can hear the wind, the shadecloth provides an amazing wind barrier and it is very pleasant out there. The plants love it because it’s warm, they are mostly in the shade and are well watered. Great stuff.

I did show prep for tomorrow and then have to admit that I fell asleep. I was awoken to Stacey phoning to ask if we wanted anything from the shops. She was at the Mall and popping in for tea after church. She came round and we had tea. After she left, we had lunch and then I loafed on my bed with headphones listening to music. Mike took a pic…

At tea time we had tea and the muffins I baked yesterday. Mike returned to his book, while I realised I didn’t have enough photos for this blog, so I mooched around the front garden to take some. This is the front garden…

An agapanthas beginning to open…

A Red Pepper almost ready for the salad…

Then enjoying the patio…Granny…

…and Benji…

Mavis gets back tomorrow! YaY!!! And Sally (Granny’s youngest sister) arrives on Thursday to look after her while we are away for three nights! ๐Ÿ™‚

The wind is expected to drop overnight. I wonder if it will.

Psalm 135: 7 He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth;ย  He sends lightning with the rainย  and brings out the wind from His storehouses.

Amazing picture! The Lord throwing wide open His ‘wind storehouse’ and letting the wind go!

Even the wind, is in His Grip!

PS > I’ll be going to church tonight! ๐Ÿ˜‰
