Lunch at Rhodes Memorial…

5-42pm

Where does the time go? It just seems to be rushing by. The week got off to a great start. After the show, I did show prep ’til 11am, then packed up and headed to Rondebosch to pick up Julian. Before taking him to the airport we went to Rhodes Memorial for lunch. It is a privilege to be a Capetonian. This is the view from our table…

We then went and mooched around the monument which is 100 years old this year. Huge pillars from the side…they are made of Cape Granite quarried from Table Mountain.

The 8 lions were cast in situ…

Considering they are 100 years old, they are very well preserved…

What a treat to have such spectacular scenery right on our doorstep. I know I was here just a few months ago, but it was so worth another visit!

By 2pm, Julian was at the airport and I headed home picking up keys for a beach cottage on the way. Mike & I will be spending the weekend there! 🙂  Looking forward to that! No blog on Saturday! You have been advised!

Mike had another melanoma removed today – this time from his left shoulder. It was in the very early stages and it was a quicker procedure than the last. That’s all his little nasty ‘moles’ removed. Sunblock folks. Don’t leave home without it, especially if you are fair-skinned. Paste it on thick! Mike’s misspent youth is catching up with him.

Popped in at the mall. Shop, bank. Dinner is now done. Mike has gone to a meeting. I’m going for a run. Then I must put Granny to bed. The merry-go-round of life continues. 🙂

Luke 17:10 So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’”

Good words!

God bless you!

IN His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
