This morning when I woke up I felt dreadful. Some viral kind of fluey feeling came over me that had me sleeping late and spending the entire day in bed. Fortunately, I can work from my bed, so that’s what I did.
When we got up, the cat was nowhere to be found. She didn’t come for breakfast. Much later in the day, I asked Mike if he had seen her. “Nope!” I put some shoes on and went around the garden checking out all her favourite haunts and calling her. She was nowhere to be found. By now it was 2pm. We hadn’t seen her since last night. I was inclined to be worried. Mike suggested she had perhaps got locked in a room. It was unlikely. The downstairs bathroom was open and so was Mike’s study door. I opened the book room (where my brother stores all his books) and as soon as I did, there was a wailing…Truffles! What are you doing here?
She was completely unphased, just a little hungry. She ate and then went outside. There was no horrible smell in the book room, so I guess she has quite some bladder capacity!
So glad she is found.
#778 of my 1000 thanks – we found Truffles! If Mike hadn’t said something, she may have been there for a whole lot longer.
Despite feeling under the weather, I did 7 hours of work. Now I’m just putting my blog to bed so I can get out from behind this screen. The rest of the week looks like it’s going to be equally as busy. I have just about reached full capacity of what I am capable of doing and the consultants in the UK are looking to divvy up the work to other people as well. Tomorrow, Riana and I will Skype with them to spread the load. Riana will get more work.
A cold front is rolling into the Cape. It’s lovely to have more rain.
Hebrews 1:10-12
“You, Lord , laid the foundations of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; they will perish but You remain. You are the same, and Your years will have no end.”
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
