11-50am
Today, I signed my leave form! Having worked as an employee at CCFm since 1997, and being in my 10th year of Rise and Shine, I felt I needed some serious time off. I need rest. The CCFm management have seen fit to allow me to take all of November and December off and so that is what I’m doing…All the yellow are the days I won’t be working 40 working days, plus weekends. I will return to Rise and Shine on Thursday 2nd January 2014, with fresh legs and renewed energy. In fact, my last working day is 30th October. It is also the day that Mike & I, along with my brother, Julian fly to Europe. 😀 I will be blogging, hopefully daily, throughout our holiday. I hope you will be able to follow us as we travel from Munich to Innsbruck to Verona, Florence, San Gimignano & Rome. Julian then returns to SA, while Mike & I train up the west coast of Italy to Genoa and board the Sinphonia to sail back to Cape Town. Can the Lord provide 19 consecutive nights of great weather? Yes! He Can! But will He? I don’t know! Paul was shipwrecked!
The idea of sailing in the ships that they did in those days is daunting. Fortunately the Sinphonia is bigger, a little more modern, with stabilizers and modcons that would stun Paul and his fellow sailors…
December, I will be resting, walking, visiting and being a normal housewife!
Mark 6:31 – Words of Jesus
And He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while.” For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.
Today, I did not visit Granny. Ohhh, it breaks my heart to see her like this. Mike went to see her and said she was very much the same as yesterday. He says she seems comfortable and without pain. Her breathing appears to be regular and no long laboured. Her life is in God’s hands. The only thing to do is to trust Him and wait for His perfect timing. God does not make mistakes. His timing is always perfect. He will always work everything out for our good and His glory. All He does is based on love. It’s not about here and now. It’s about eternity and what happens when die.
God bless you loads!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
