Granny Has Crossed The Finishing Line…

4-07am

Last night, we got the call we knew may come. Granny slipped away, passing gently and peacefully into the presence of Jesus at about 8-15pm.

Mike had an amazing time with her yesterday morning. As he sat and prayed, he sensed a presence of a number of people at her bedside, unseen, but patiently and quietly waiting. There was a great peace. Her condition was unchanged from Sunday, so we didn’t expect her to go quite yet.  We will miss her, but rejoice that we will meet again.

It’s not about now. It’s not about here! There’s a lot more to come.

Praise the Lord for her life.

A life well lived. A servant heart. A beautiful spirit.

James 1:12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.

Granny has received that crown of life!

Granny loved gardening. Here she is enjoying the beautiful garden at the Ladies Christian Home.

Granny admiring the rosesShe was so wonderfully cared for by the staff at the LCH. We are indebted to Lindsay Long, Pat Evans and all the patient,  caring nurses & staff who made her final months so comfortable.

To God be the glory.

God bless you.

In His Grip,
