Thursday
Dear Elsie
Today was the day you had your first swimming lesson! I’m so excited for you to learn to swim. We went swimming too. The sea was very flat and swimming was hard work. I swam round the barrel, to the lighthouse and back to the barrel and still didn’t quite get to 2km.
It’s a little piece of paradise…
I worked 8 hours and had a number of eye breaks. One of them was spent watching 2 jet skis and an inflatable roaring around False Bay. It was such a lovely day for such activities.
I had afternoon appointments and then we went out for dinner.
Today, Google bought up this photo…
I love looking back. It is a constant reminder of how far we have come and how little steps all add up to something big. Never despise the day of small beginnings. This was once where the entrance would be.
The rock was used as the step into the house for a long while.
And then there were these days…rock uncovered –
We were never at a loss for rocks…
Courage building the wall….
Front entrance almost finished.
Courage has taken random rocks and created amazing walls…
Small steps! We have come a long way but still have lots that can be and is being done. One day at a time.
Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
