Light Steel Frame Arrives

Thursday

Today was the day…

David came to visit! We had tea. He cleaned out his car. We chatted. It was good.

Mike spent most of the day working on the kitchen in the rental unit at Echo. When I got to site this afternoon, the kitchen was looking amazing.

Things are about to get a whole lot busier. I describe our build at the speed of a horse. It was galloping along when lock down came. The hard lock down had the horse stabled for a 5 weeks. At the end of that, for lock down level 4,  it came out walking. Its nose was in the air, ears perked, moving forward enthusiastically, champing at the bit and wanting to go a little faster, but was held back by circumstances. Level 3 arrived on Monday 1st June. The horse is off at a canter today accelerated into a full gallop.

The light steel frame for our floor arrived.💃 It got sorted and stacked up on our floor…

And Werner got to work. They worked hard and long…

And this evening, Werner sent me these amazing photos…

Tomorrow, the light steel frame for the top floor and the roof arrives. There’s now so much to do. Mike hopes to almost finish the kitchen he’s working on tomorrow and then he and Courage will start on the electrics for our floor. To see it coming to fruition is beyond remarkable, especially as we are in such a fragile season.

Psalm 84:11

He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.

The best is yet to come.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.
