I love seeing the variety of pictures that pop up on Facebook. They cover so many topics…like family…
And friendship….
And Facebook friends count….
On Facebook, you will find Safety advice…
And Philosophy…
And politics…with some humour thrown in…
There’s quirky advice…
And spiritual advice…
Sometimes it reminds you to lighten up and laugh…
And some real truth…
(That’s my favourite!)
One thing I know is that having been around for 10 years, Facebook is going to be around for many more to come. Take all the good that comes from it and chuck all the bad. Use it to advance the kingdom of God and to crush the bad stuff. Use it to contribute to your friendships and not contaminate them. Avoid the gossip, focus on the truth. Use Facebook to keep up with your family and friends and as a means of encouragement and support.
1 Corinthians 13:4-6
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
I think it’s been an amazingly unifying tool. Happy Birthday Facebook!
