Normalcy returned today! Had 100s of good wishes for my birthday yesterday which was unexpected. Thank you EVERYONE! Today I had a to-do list of note.
While Americans headed for bed, the day before today’s election, the sun rose in Cape Town…
A beautiful day dawned. It was off to do the Rise and Shine show and then a few hours of music prep followed that. I went home via Boyes Drive, but couldn’t resist stopping by the ‘plot with a view’…it’s up for sale at a cool R7.5 million … just for the plot…
But the view is pretty spectacular…looking left….
I continued to Fish Hoek to Creation Jewellers – this time with Kezia’s watch…battery replaced R20! I hope it is still working when I give it to her tomorrow. The lady said the old battery seemed to be leaking and it may stop the watch. It was working last time I looked! Then it was onto the Mall where I bought a beautiful Cape Town 2013 calendar for my ‘other mother’s’ 90th birthday. We go back to when I was a teenager. She now lives in Australia. I still miss her. I sat and drank cappuccino and wrote her a letter, then went to the post office and posted it all off. I also paid the PO box account for next year and collected parcels Mike’s sister has sent for Granny. :-)I inquired at the PO about sending stuff to Cambodia. It is the same as any other overseas country but, we have been told there is a major risk. Most stuff arrives with contents missing. Couriers won’t put any guarantee on items, so we have a little issue with trying to send stuff to Adrian and Stacey who I now refer (affectionately) to as ‘the Cambodians!’ They will have to tell us what they want to do.
I also did some banking. I shopped and came home most satisfied that I had ticked several things off my to-do list! I’ve been watching the election coverage in the US. Richard Quest is so frivolous & jovial….seems out of place for the elections, but quite entertaining at the same time!I’m ready to cook dinner. Tomorrow I’m going to be outlining the LCHF foods I eat most!
Yesterday, Lencio called the show and said he had looked up Psalm 4:8
Psalm 4:8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.Have a fabulous evening! In His Grip,Helga 🙂
