Kirstenbosch on a Beautiful Saturday Afternoon in October

1-28pm

Yesterday afternoon we went to Kirstenbosch. I haven’t been there for a long time and was keen to try out the new Tree Canopy Walkway. It’s R50 for adults to get into Kirstenbosch, which is well worth it. The parking lot was full –  100s of cars and busloads of people – yet when you get inside the gardens, they are so big that it’s not crowded. I love all the signs saying how far away places are…

Sydney signThe path to the Boomslang is well signposted…

On the boomslangIt is flexible and does sway, which is really fun. At the start there is all the ‘useful to know’ info…it’s 130m long and rises to 11.5m…

Julian on the boomslangIt’s a great place to view the city and the rest of Kirstenbosch. Off the Boomslang, we walked through the “Enchanted Garden” and found a tree with a bazillion red ants…

A bazillion red antsAnd soon came to the Kirstenbosch events stage, which is quite the optical illusion. It looks as if it is skew…

Isaiah 55:12

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

It’s been a busy weekend and it’s not over yet. We’re going to go walking  before I take Julian to the airport.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!
