Today was the day…
We didn’t go for our early morning beach swim. It was overcast and windy with the threat of rain, so we stayed home. With the weather not living up to its forecast, at lunchtime, I walked down to the village to shop. From the cat walk it looked quite foreboding…
However, I regretted not taking my swimming costume because in the bay, just beyond the breakers where I often swim, there were dolphins. The sea was flat due to the north wind…
There were a couple of dolphins gracefully swimming. They weren’t leaping and prancing as in other photos mainly because they were in shallow water. You can just see the fin of one of them below… 
Tomorrow, it looks like it will be clear – I’m keen to go back down and swim, dolphins or not.
Today I worked for about half the day and have had more time off. Those that know me best know that one of my down-time past-times is Words with Friends. It’s like scrabble. I play with three regular opponents. Riana, Fiona and Jacqueline! The latter I’ve never met. She is a stranger that I started playing with and is very competitive. She’s played far more games than I have, found thousands more unique words and won thousands more all time games than I. She has been playing for far longer than I have. I just love playing with her because she’s so good. We have exchanged moves every day for the last 285 days. We have two games constantly running. She is so much stronger than I that it is always a conundrum as to why I’ve beaten her more!
So that’s what I do when I’m not working!
