It’s Time…

1-52pm

Another penny dropped, another lightbulb came on, another reassurance regarding Granny. It’s definitely time for her to go to frail care. I don’t know what they did at the Ladies Christian Home that struck a chord with her, but whatever they did, it worked. She was very happy there and is so ready to go back. I told her she was going back in a couple of weeks and she said “good!” So we are all in agreement here! I’ve sent Pat a message asking her about the process to be followed so we can get on the waiting list as soon as possible. I’m aware that it may be some months before we can get her in permanently, but I’m hoping the sooner the better. This morning Mike went to her bank to get statements so that she has financial proof of her position as a SA pensioner. We will have to cancel her medical aid which is costing her more than her pension, for very little return! In my heart, I know this is the right thing. So I’m relieved. 🙂

This morning we woke at about 6am and Mike made the first coffee. We then went to the Mall for breakfast…BreakfastMike went to the bank and I browsed through the shops, zoning in on bathroom stuff for my bathroom makeover on Tuesday. I have taken some before photos so that I’ll have before and after. Riana and I are meeting on Tuesday to shop and plan and maybe even begin. The main thing is that Mike doesn’t know, so whenever we begin, we have to end before he gets home, so he gets the big surprise! Mike will love it! Here is one of the before pics…this doesn’t show too much of the clutter…

BathroomRiana is gifted in interiors, so we are going to have fun! Who knows, this may be the start of many great things!

It has been so warm and in the coolness of the evening, it has been fun having some visitors seeking out the shade of our balcony…

Evening visitors Matthew 10:16 “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”

We have so enjoyed the cricket today, with South Africa once again asserting their supremacy in the test against Pakistan, who were all out for 49. SA are batting again which gives Graeme Smith a chance to put on some runs in honour of his 100th test. Let’s hope he goes on to make a ton!

A relaxed Saturday.

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
