It’s NOT Fair!!!

11-10am

Professor Tim Noakes in the studio this morning and he always says something new. Women seem to have a lot more difficulty losing weight on LCHF than men. Now that’s hard to swallow! I want to shout “It’s not fair!!” He says nutritionist Sally Creed suggests upping protein a bit and cutting dairy to lose weight if you have been struggling. But the bottom line is to find the balance – to eat low carb without being extreme. Having said that, you have to be extreme if you are diabetic and that means only fruit that’s really okay are berries.  And if you seriously want to lose weight, count every bite of carb you take. Read labels, register on My Fitness Pal, watch every mouthful.

After the show, I went to the Organic Zone to buy coconut oil. Everything is SO expensive. I am sure that we can use cheaper options at the supermarket. I think it is a good idea to start trying and documenting. Anyway, if you have landed here because you heard there is information about Prof Tim Noakes and LCHF, you are right. Look at the bar along the top for all his previous talks, plus information about a whole host of other things.

In my ‘googling’, I discovered this pretty awesome looking, amazingly easy recipe on Dr. Oz’s website:

Ingredients
6 dates
1/2 avocado
4 tbsp cocoa
1-2 tsp water

Directions
Place all ingredients in a food processor and purée until smooth. Add 1-2 tsp of water if mixture is not blending.

Sounds easy enough. Looks absolutely delicious…

Decadent_Chocolate_FixCertainly worth a try! Yum! Maybe go easy on the dates. They are very high in carbs – mainly sugar.

So, now I have three shows left. It’s very strange that it’s all come down to this. I have a long ‘to-do’ list for when I am home, so I don’t think I will be bored by any stretch of the imagination.

Time passes. Moses wrote one Psalm

Psalm 90:12

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx:-)
