A couple of months ago when Mike got his little notebook, I had to admit that I was a little envious. It was so and light yet was fully functional, but I didn’t think it was necessary to get a new one, when my laptop is working perfectly and I intended to take it when we go on holiday. Then a couple of weeks ago, we had really bad big vibrations going on behind our house and so I packed my laptop into my rucksack and we took off to a coffee shop to work there. It was then that I decided it wasn’t as light as I thought. Bulky and heavy, I envied Mike even more! Eventually, he loaded my work link onto his desktop so I could see if I could do my work on this small size screen. It worked perfectly, so Mike started looking for one and found it on Take-a-Lot at a jolly good price. He asked me what colour I wanted and boom, the purchase was made. He then went and ordered me a new matching mouse….
Very cool! I’m using it now. It’s going to be a fine travelling companion.
I actually got it a week ago, but haven’t had the courage to confess that I splurged on such a luxury, but now with the blue mouse, I thought I had to document its purchase.
I had a little laugh after I got it because I was on the phone to Stacey and told her I bought a new notebook. She waited for some more information about it. I said, “It’s blue!” She laughed. She said that when she had been speaking to her Dad (Mike) and he told her all about his, he explained about the hard drive and the size and the quad-core (or whatever) but then when she speaks to me about mine, I give her the colour! We are all created different! How glad we are about that.
The appointment in my life today was the DENTIST!
I don’t go to the dentist often. In fact the last time I went to him was two years ago and that was after not seeing him for five years! But my front right tooth was chipped. Mike went a week ago so when he was there, he made an appointment for me and at 11am this morning off I went. He took an x-ray to see if I needed any other work and when I didn’t he fixed the tooth and out I walked. I was very happy with the result.
#367 of my 1000 thanks – tooth got fixed! 😀
What I read this morning…
Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Those are words of life!
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
