Last night we were at Fish Hoek beach during the full moon. It was amazing. My cell phone camera did not do it justice…
It was a lovely evening.
Today I took the plunge and joined the local gym. I know there is always paperwork and orientation to be had, so I went in prepared for it all. It wasn’t too bad and after signing up, I started a workout. I have set myself a challenge to do an hour a day, six days a week for six weeks starting Monday. That means, the last day of my challenge will be 16th December. I’ll see if I can keep that up and what the outcome will be.
For the rest of the day, we went to the Stag for breakfast and I spent some time working. I did the gym thing and then spent an hour on the phone to Stacey. I Skyped with Riana who is now in Turkey and went for a drive to Hout Bay with Julian. We walked on Hout Bay Beach which was beautiful – we haven’t been there for a very long time.
We got home and had dinner.
Now it is bedtime.
On thinking of my gratitude moment today, it was something that happened last night.
#467 of my 1000 thanks. It’s been a little chilly over the last couple of days, so last night I put an extra blanket on my bed. I went to bed ahead of Mike and drowsily woke up when he came upstairs. I remember mumbling, “it’s cold”. He asked if I was warm enough and I said, “yes”. Here came my little gratitude moment – he said, “do you want socks?” I replied I already had some one! My sweet husband knowing that when my feet am cold, I’m cold, thought about my need for socks. After 31 years, I can still say, “he’s a keeper!” 😀
Today I read Hebrews 6:10
God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.
A word in season.
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
