Chalk & Cheese at the White Oak

Today, for breakfast, we went to meet Julian at the Stag, but there were no tables available, so we went across the road to Chalk & Cheese. It’s in a little shop called the White Oak.

It’s a lovely little place filled with special little things, ideal as Christmas presents and stocking fillers…this is looking in the front door…

We sat at a table in the next room which had this view…

And this is the menu..portion sizes were great. Cappuccinos were good.

They opened at the beginning of October, so if you are in Fish Hoek pop in and visit. I’d love to see them succeed.

We have had stormy weather over the last 24 hours. Rain, wind, thunder and lightning have all featured. The tanks are full and the plants watered. It is still quite windy now, but it looks like the rain is gone for the moment.

The other thing I did today was join the gym. Well I haven’t quite walked in the door and signed on the dotted line, but I have phoned and found out all the information and decided on a plan. Tomorrow, I hope to go down and do the deed. I am looking forward to it. I’m really happy about this.

There is not a lot of work at the moment for me, which is absolutely wonderful. It has given me time to settle back in. I’m appreciating having a lack of work pressure and the ability to go at my own pace.

#466 of my 1000 thanks is for getting back to my ladies meeting and seeing my friends again! 🙂 Yay!

Psalm 105:4

Look to the Lord and His strength, seek His face always.

More good advice from the Bible.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going!

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
