10-38am
This time, my downfall was at the recycling bin outside my backdoor. I opened it and found someone had put packaging in which still had remnants of food on it.
I immediately started (out loud), ” I hate it when people do this!!!” Then I gasped! I was complaining! So now I have to start again. I am pleased to say that that was yesterday morning and so it is officially 24 hours since I last complained. I’m beginning to realise that this is harder than I thought it would be and that I need to evaluate what will come out of my mouth before it is spoken. It’s a challenge of note, especially for a talker! If you start a sentence with “I hate it when…” it is a complaint!
I’m getting back into the swing of things again, work-wise. I remembered most of it, just a few websites which I had forgotten and had to really stretch my brain to find them. Getting up early is easy to do, but I find by mid-morning, I’m struggling to keep my eyes open. It’s going to take a little adjustment to get back to normal in that regard!
Reading through Genesis has brought me to the account of Noah. And here’s one lesson I found: God Remembers! There are things that come your way that God has led you to. There is a saying which is true: “If God has led you to it, God will lead you through it.” Noah, who was righteous in a world of sin & corruption, was called and directed by God to do something, seemingly bizarre. He had to build an ark. God would send rain. The world would be destroyed. He would save his family and all the animals that roamed the world. It all seemed so unbelievable! But when God calls you to do something extraordinary, He doesn’t leave you in the dark. He instructs you in the way you should go. He compels you. You will succeed because of Him. And He won’t forget you. Genesis 8:1 “But God remembered Noah…” He will lead you all the way and bring you out victorious. Whatever you are facing, if God leads you to it, He will lead you through it.
God bless you extravagantly!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
